While today (October 31) might as well be all about the candy, let’s not forget about the big and round orange object sitting on your front porch. The pumpkin is often overlooked, however, it offers much more on Halloween than just being that final touch to your holiday decorations.

If you’re looking for a delicious fall snack, look no further than the seeds inside of your pumpkin. Whether you’ve already carved your pumpkin or have stored your seeds away, we wanted to share a few things people on the internet are doing with the “cultivar of winter squash” this year.

According to WebMD, “Pumpkin seeds are rich in magnesium, an important mineral that boosts your health, helps your body make energy, and powers your muscles.”

There are many variations of what you can add to your pumpkin seeds to give them a pop of flavor. The cooking website Delish suggests tossing either ranch seasoning, taco seasoning, or cinnamon sugar on them.

There are also many foods you eat on a regular basis that you can mix in pumpkin seeds with such as salads, smoothies, soups, and even desserts.
