The Somerset Patriots, New York Yankees Double-A affiliate open the 2023 season tonight at TD Bank Ballpark. This year's squad features seven of the Yankees Top 20 prospects on the opening day roster, highlighted by outfielder Jasson Dominguez.

Dominguez came up to Somerset at the end of last season and was mighty impressive in the playoffs, cracking three homers and driving in 10. His two bombs in the clinching game against Erie was an exclamation point on the Patriots Double-A Eastern League title.

First pitch of tonight's game is at 6:30 where the 2022 Eastern League title banner will be raised and rings handed out. Let's meet some of the new Somerset Patriots for the 2023 season.

Raul Dominguez

Dominguez takes over as manager of the Patriots for the 2023 season. Dominguez has worked in the Yankees organization since 2010, and is very familiar with this group of young Bombers.

Richard Fritts - Starting Pitcher

Richard Fritts will be the Patriots Opening Night starter. The 6-foot-3 righty was drafted by the Yankees in the sixth round of the 2021 draft. He spoke to reporters on Wednesday.
