PHILLIES 9 – BRAVES 1
PHI Leads NLDS 2-1
This is the series New York Mets fans never wanted to see, but here we are. The Philadelphia Phillies are a win away from their first trip to the NLCS since 2010 after dismantling the defending champion Atlanta Braves 9-1 at Citizen’s Bank Park. The same Atlanta Braves team that the Mets couldn’t beat when the NL East crown was up for grabs.
Now it appears the team that finished behind both Atlanta and New York could be preparing for a party on Saturday night.
The Phillies, who finished 14 games behind the Braves and Mets in the NL East, are 1 win away from the NLCS, after beating Atlanta 9-1 in Game 3.

The Phillies exploded with six runs in the third inning that all but put the game away. Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper both went deep with home runs in the third inning to built that 6-0 lead.
Harper would add an RBI double later in the seventh inning.
Five of the runs were charged to Braves starter Spencer Strider who couldn’t get out of the third inning.
