New York Yankees #20 prospect Tyler Hardman quickly made a name for himself in Somerset when he corked a two-run bomb on a 1-for-3 night as the Yankees Double-Affiliate, Somerset Patriots took down the Harrisburg Senators 6-4 on a chilly Opening Night at TD Bank Ballpark.

Hardman’s homer also gave fans a taste of the eye-popping graphics on the new Matrix Scoreboard in right field, as the words Home Run splashed and pulsated across the screen.

The homer capped off an impressive comeback for the Patriots who found themselves down 4-1 in the early stages.

Everson Periera changed the momentum when he lined a two-run double to center that scored Trey Sweeney and Jasson Dominguez to cut the deficit to 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth.

Two innings later, Max Burt crushed a solo shot to right center, tying the game at four.

Alex Mauricio worked around a solo homer by Drew Millas in the top of the ninth to secure the victory.

Starting pitcher Richard Fitts gave up two runs on four hits over four innings of work in his first start at Somerset.
