With the Yankees making the biggest splash of the entire off-season by re-signing Aaron Judge to a nine-year contract, many are wondering if the Mets will make another big move rather soon.

Well that answer was 'yes!'

The Mets signed former St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox hurler Jose Quintana to a two-year contract worth around $26 million.

This signing of Quintana comes after the Mets lost Taijuan Walker to the Philadelphia Phillies on a four year contract, and Jacob deGrom to the Texas Rangers last week.

Quintana, a left-handed starter, went 6-7 with a 2.93 ERA last year in St. Louis. He now joins Justin Verlander, who inked a two-year $86.6 million deal as the new faces in the Mets rotation.

It will be fascinating to see what else the Mets do in starting pitching.

Another name that keeps rolling off people's tongue's in San Diego this week is Kodai Senga.

In speaking about Senga, Manager Buck Showalter said the team has spoken with him and they are impressed. Whether a deal happens or not is another kettle of fish.

Then there is the situation with Brandon Nimmo. Nimmo is rumored to be pursued by 8-10 teams, including the Mets. The Jays and Yankees were also rumored to be in the Nimmo sweepstakes. Would the Yankees sign Nimmo after inking Judge to a big deal? Keep in mind the Bronx Bombers are still on the hook for Aaron Hick's long seven-year contract. However some think the Giants could be in the Nimmo mix now.

Buck Was Impressed by Kodai Senga

Would Jose Quintana be a fit? You bet he is.

What About Brandon Nimmo?

Will the Mets re-sign Brandon Nimmo? Mets fans certainly hope so.
