It’s the 23rd anniversary of 9-11, and once again, communities throughout Central Jersey and beyond are bringing residents together to help others and honor those who lost their lives on that tragic day.

Here’s a list of community events that feature memorials, blood drives, and more:

  • 9/11 Day of Service Blood Drive

    Being hosted at the East Brunswick Library, this blood drive goes from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM. 

    Appointments are preferred however walk-ins will be welcomed if space permits. Please remember to eat, drink, and bring your donor ID card or ID with your name and photo. Sign up for your appointment here. 

  • 9-11 Annual Memorial Ceremony 2024 - Jersey City

    From 8:30 AM – 10:00 PM this event will be held at the Jersey City Memorial 9/11 Jersey City Memoria At the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway.

  • 9/11 Memorial Ceremony- South River

    First responders, borough officials, and fellow residents of South River are invited to the annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony. The ceremony begins at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 11th at the Dailey’s Pond Park 9/11 Monument

    Officials say “Together as a community, we’ll honor those who didn’t come home to their families, remember the sacrifices made by first responders, and recognize the bravery of many others.”

  • Rahway 9/11 Ceremony

    From 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM located at the Main Street Fire House, and 1300 Main Street.

  • Spotswood 9/11 Memorial

    Starts at 7:00 PM. Located at the Spotswood Municipal Building.  Located at 77 Summerhil Road.

  • "A Township Remembers" 9/11 Memorial Service - Woodbridge

    A memorial service for those lost in 9/11 but a salute to the township First responders, and Office of Emergency Management.

    Located at Woodbridge High School, it runs from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

  • Retro Fitness

    In honor of our fallen heroes, Retro Fitness in North Brunswick is raising money for the Tunnels To Towers Foundation.
