Our 2nd Annual Christmas Market is raising funds for two New Jersey Nonprofits, who will also have an information table at the event:

The New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking is a volunteer-run 501 (c)3 organization that coordinates statewide community efforts to end sex and labor trafficking in New Jersey. Founded in 2011, the non-profit is comprised of 200 volunteers and more than 180 affiliates—including nonprofits, faith-based organizations, academics, law enforcement, and direct service providers—the NJCAHT empowers communities with the knowledge of what human trafficking is, how to prevent it, and how to support those affected by it.

Established in 1988, the Fifth District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation has raised and distributed over $1 million dollars in grants directly to cancer researchers in New Jersey. Comprised solely of volunteers, this 501 (c)3 nonprofit is dedicated to facilitating fundraising in order to award grants to scientists and medical research institutions whose primary goal is to find a cure for cancer. Its grants have resulted in life-changing discoveries, such as early detection tests for breast and pancreatic cancers, that have been recognized globally.

Founded in 1950, Daughters of Penelope Tethys chapter #229 is dedicated to charitable efforts in the greater New Brunswick, NJ area. Supporting DOP District 5 and National projects, Tethys #229 supports local non-profits like St. George Greek Orthodox Church (Piscataway) and its ministries; Agape House (Somerville); Women Aware, Elijah’s Promise, and Ronald McDonald House of Central Jersey (all in New Brunswick); the Hellenic Dancers of NJ (Holmdel); St. Basil’s Academy (Garrison, NY); NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking, and the 5th District AHEPA Family Cancer Research Foundation (Brick), etc. Tethys #229 is part of the Daughters of Penelope, one of the largest international women’s organizations in the world with chapters throughout the USA, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Belgium, the UK, Greece, and Cyprus.
