This is Preferred Company with Joel and friends! Today’s guest is Eddie Goodman, Founder and CEO of earnourtrust.com. When one family member becomes incarcerated, the entire family suffers collateral consequences. Of them all, exorbitant prices for limited communication and the inability to make in-person visits take one of the worse tolls. Eddie understood in order to make a difference, you have to support businesses that believes in recycling the resources back into the community, that is why the Earn Our Trust app was created to allow people to patronize these businesses who walk the walk and not just talk the talk. In the beginning, he wanted to help stop the violence, provide safe schools for children, eradicate crime in the African American community. Also, he helped produce a documentary with law enforcement and former gang members who are trying to make a difference in the community.
