On this special edition of “In the Middle”, Joey breaks down the highlights of the first Democratic and Republican Gubernatorial debates of the 2025 campaign season. “In the Middle” was on the road this week and Joey made a trip down to Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ to attend both debates. He caught up with some of the candidates post-debate and covered press gaggles with all of them across both nights. Joey plays his exchanges with Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop (D), Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D), Former State Senate President Steeve Sweeney (D) and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D) following the Democratic Debate as well as his questions to Former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (R), Former Conservative Radio Talk Show Host Bill Spadea (R), State Senator Jon Bramnick (R) and Former State Senator Ed Durr after their matchup. He’ll also listen back to the Q&As with NJEA President and Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller (D) as well as Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (D).
