On this special edition of “In the Middle”, Joey breaks down the highlights of the final Democratic and Republican Gubernatorial debates of the 2025 campaign season. “In the Middle” was on the road this week and Joey made a trip up to the Donald M. Payne Sr. School of Technology in Newark, NJ to attend both debates. He caught up with some of the candidates post-debate and covered press gaggles with all of them across both nights. Joey plays his exchanges with Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop (D), Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D), Former State Senate President Steeve Sweeney (D), Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (D) and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka (D) following the Democratic Debate as well as his questions to Former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (R), Former Conservative Radio Talk Show Host Bill Spadea (R), and State Senator Jon Bramnick (R) after their matchup. He’ll also listen back to the Q&As with NJEA President and Former Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller (D) as well as Democratic Governors Association Spokeswoman Ofirah Yheskel.
