Who will the Giants take with pick number 5 in the draft? Here is who some of the draft experts around the league are mocking to the Giants.

Daniel Jeremiah- NFL.com

CB- Mansoor Delane- LSU

"The Giants could add a receiver later in the draft -- it's a deep class at the position -- but Delane would immediately be their most talented cornerback."

The Giants have some nice pieces on defense, especially on the D-Line. But cornerback is a spot where they clearly need help, after seeing 9 DBS start at least 2 games last year. At pick 5, they should have a chance to land the best CB in the draft.

CB- Mansoor Delane- LSU

"Delane is a smothering presence outside with the ability to stay tight on all three levels and take the rock away."

New Head Coach John Harbaugh used 1st round picks on corners and safeties a ton in Baltimore. Their defense was often among the league's elite, aside from last year. Harbaugh might want to recreate that in New York.

Bucky Brooks- NFL.com

OT- Francis Mauigoa- Miami

"The Giants get back to their menacing ways under new coach John Harbaugh by fortifying the trenches with fresh talent. Mauigoa is a natural right tackle who specializes in bullying defenders at the point of attack with superior size and strength, and New York could have a hole at the position with Jermaine Eluemunor's impending free agency."

With Andrew Thomas already locking down LT, getting a young RT to pair with him makes a ton of sense. The Giants have seen their division rivals in Philly win two Super Bowls and make another, behind elite O-Line play. With a new era starting under John Harbaugh, and Jaxson Dart looking to establish himself as the franchise QB, loading up on offense, specifically on the O-Line, makes a ton of sense.

WR- Carnell Tate- Ohio State

"Could loading up on offense be the answer? Tate would be the perfect complement to Nabers, given his precise route running and workmanlike ability to win catches in traffic. Tate's tape reminds me of Justin Jefferson at LSU, and he enters the league with a similar body type and skill set."

Just like loading up on young O-Linemen makes sense, so does adding another star WR to pair with Malik Nabers.

Dane Brugler- The Athletic

WR- Jordyn Tyson- Arizona State

"The Giants will be drawn, understandably, to Caleb Downs’ potential impact on the back end of the defense, or to the chance to address their offensive line with Francis Mauigoa. But Tyson would add an immediate offensive playmaker who could help a young quarterback take the next step in his development."

The same logic applies here. If they can get another star WR, it makes sense to pull the trigger. At pick 5, you don't reach for need. Especially not when the Giants have plenty of needs. If they think Tyson or Tate are the best players, who will make the biggest impact, you pull that trigger.
