Reasons Why Yankees Fans Should Not Panic
As up and down as the Yankees have been at various points this season, there are 8 reasons why Yankees fans should not worry about the team.
First, a couple of negatives.
Losing Jazz Chisholm Jr to a UCL injury in his non-throwing elbow on Monday night is a definite blow to the team.
In the 14 games he played since joining the team, he hit .316 with 7 home runs, 11 runs batted in, and 5 stolen bases. Almost from the time he put the pinstripes on, he changed the dynamic of the team.
For now, Chisholm is on the 10-day Injured List and the hope is that he will not need surgery.
The two pitchers who were supposed to shore up the bullpen have been a disappointment. One, Enyel De Los Santos has already been designated for assignment, and the other, Mark Leiter Jr, is allowing WAY too much traffic on the bases when manager Aaron Boone calls upon him.
Reasons Why Yankees Fans Should Not Worry
Beginning with a series against the Tigers in Detroit this weekend, the Yankees have 13 series left on the season.
Of those 13, 8 of them are against teams with a losing record, which means the Yankees have a relatively easy record the last six weeks of the regular season.
Aaron Judge and Juan Soto have provided the best one-two punch in any Major League lineup all season. We’ll see if that’s enough to carry the team down the stretch.
