Rutgers Field Hockey remains among the unbeaten, after coming out victorious in a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory over Big Ten rival, No. 15 Michigan in Piscataway on Friday evening.

The victory not only moves the Scarlet Knights to 11-0 on the season, but 3-0 in the Big Ten.

The hero of the game was Guillermina Causarano who scored the game winning goal in overtime when she took a pass from Paulina Niklaus at the top of the key, then spun around a defender before taking her slap shot attempt at the net, and watched the ball glide in.

Earlier in the contest Niklaus had a chance to give Rutgers the lead, but an official review overturned the goal, and kept the proceedings  knotted at a goal a piece.

Despite being out-shot by Michigan 12-9, Rutgers did grab the early lead in the contest when Marique Dieudonne gave Rutgers a 1-0 lead at the 7:36 mark of the opening frame.

Rutgers will take their 11-0 record into Sunday's intra-state contest with Monmouth. After that the ladies hit the road for a tough two-game road trip in the Big Ten against Ohio State and Michigan State next week.
