You could feel the excitement in the air. You could feel the fall breeze starting to kick in at the campus of Rutgers University held its annual Rutgers Football Fan Fest 2023 on Sunday, August 20th from 5p-7 p.m. right across from Shi Stadium.
The food trucks were there, showing the culinary cuisine that will be on hand for each home game this season. There were fun games and activities for the children, to enjoy showcasing the Boardwalk feeling that will be back once again for the home games.
The highlight, of course, was the entire RU Football team being on site for over an hour and a half signing autographs and taking pictures with the fans. A chance to meet the teams, that will take on the likes of Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, and others this season, in their 2023 quest to get a bowl bid.
RU chants could be heard throughout the day, and in less than 2 short weeks on Sunday, September 3rd, the 2023 season will begin as RU will be home to take on Northwestern University at noon. But the fun will start at 9 a.m. as the Boardwalk will open up to the public.
See you there.
