Celebrate the Fourth of July with the Somerset Patriots

The Fourth of July is coming up and coming at us in just a few hours, and the Somerset Patriots, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees are ready to celebrate with fans.
The Patriots will play host to the Reading Fightin’ Phils on Tuesday night at 7:05. And there will be plenty for fans to enjoy and celebrate.
The Patriots will don special Fourth of July themed jersey’s and hats. According to a press release issued by the Patriots media department, “the jerseys will be auctioned off online to benefit Operation Shoebox New Jersey and the organization’s work to keep a supply line of care packages to U.S. troops serving around the world.”
The auction runs through July 9 at 9 p.m.
In addition, the Patriots will host a BBQ in the left field picnic area where hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork, mac & cheese, and cookies will be served. Buffet service takes place from 6 p.m. to 7:30.
Gates open at 6 p.m. at TD Bank Ballpark.
The Patriots are playing inspired baseball having won the first half title in the Double-A Eastern League, East Division.
The defending Eastern League champions, are 4-1 to start the second half.
