Hey Knicks fans, guess what, your favorite you love to hate is back in the Atlantic Division.

Off the heels of dealing Bradley Beal to Phoneix, the Washington Wizards sent former Knick Kristaps Porzingis to the Boston Celtics in a three-team deal. Porzingis opted into his contract before he was traded per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Wizards are getting Tyus Jones, Danilo Gallinari, Mike Muscala and No. 35 pick in the 2023 draft.

The Celtics will get Porzingis, the No. 25 pick in the 2023 draft and 2024 first round pick (top-four protected). The Grizzles will get Marcus Smart from the Celtics.

Last season Porzingis played 65 games, the most since he played with the Knicks in 2016-17 where he played 66 games. He averaged 23.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.

Porzingis will join the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and will help out Robert Williams and Al Horford down low.

Losing Smart is going to hurt more emotionally for this team. He earned the reputation of being hard-working and a hard nose defender. Winning the hustle award three times, three All-Defensive team awards and was defensive player of the year in 2022.
