Legendary Yankees broadcaster John Sterling has been on the call for some of the greatest calls in baseball history.
On Saturday, Sterling proved that, yes, even broadcasting can be a contact sport when a foul ball off the bat of Boston Red Sox infielder Justin Turner flew into the booth and hit Sterling.
Take a listen.
Give Sterling tremendous credit for shaking off the combined shock and pain of getting hit. He composed himself quickly and called the final out of the ball game.
Of course, Sterling's foul ball call may not be the most legendary in the game. Nobody, and we mean nobody can top the legendary hand-eye coordination of former Somerset Patriots broadcaster Marc Schwartz, who made this catch four seasons ago when Somerset was playing Indy ball in the Atlantic League.
As for the Yankees, they took care of the Boston Red Sox 3-1 at Yankee Stadium to even up the three game weekend set.
Gleyber Torres and Willy Calhoun both homered for the Bronx Bombers in the victory.
Calhoun is on fire right now. In the last 12 games, he is hitting .310 with seven extra base hits and eight RBI.
The Bronx Bombers go for the series win on Sunday night.
Eerie Images of Orange Skies Over New York and New Jersey
It has been a rather bizarre couple of days in the New York/New Jersey area as smoke from the Canadian Wildfires continue to make their way down into the Northeastern part of the United States creating poor visibility, even worse air quality, and an eerie redish/orange glow in the air that make is feel like we're living the movies Total Recall or Blade Runner 2049.
Reports indicate the air quality in New York is the worst it has ever been. New Jersey is also drawing hazardous marks for unhealthy air quality.
The New York Yankees smartly postponed their game against the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. They are scheduled to play a double-header on Thursday.
Let's take a look at some of the surreal images from the day.
Somerset Patriots
The Patriots are scheduled to play in Hartford, Connecticut tonight, but back in Somerset, well, it looks like another planet.
Citi Field, Queens, NY
The home of the New York Mets looks like a set for a post apocalyptic movie.

Carlos Rodon Pitching
Even with the poor air quality, Yankees starting pitcher Carlos Rodon was doing a bullpen session in the orange mist.
