John Sterling Gets Hit by Foul Ball, Calls Final Out of 3-1 Win
Legendary Yankees broadcaster John Sterling has been on the call for some of the greatest calls in baseball history.
On Saturday, Sterling proved that, yes, even broadcasting can be a contact sport when a foul ball off the bat of Boston Red Sox infielder Justin Turner flew into the booth and hit Sterling.
Take a listen.

Give Sterling tremendous credit for shaking off the combined shock and pain of getting hit. He composed himself quickly and called the final out of the ball game.
Of course, Sterling’s foul ball call may not be the most legendary in the game. Nobody, and we mean nobody can top the legendary hand-eye coordination of former Somerset Patriots broadcaster Marc Schwartz, who made this catch four seasons ago when Somerset was playing Indy ball in the Atlantic League.
As for the Yankees, they took care of the Boston Red Sox 3-1 at Yankee Stadium to even up the three game weekend set.
Gleyber Torres and Willy Calhoun both homered for the Bronx Bombers in the victory.

Calhoun is on fire right now. In the last 12 games, he is hitting .310 with seven extra base hits and eight RBI.
The Bronx Bombers go for the series win on Sunday night.
