After spending one year at Rutgers, guard Cam Spencer has found a new home with the defending National champion UCONN Huskies. The story was first reported by the Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.

Spencer has one more year of eligibility. He is the fifth Scarlet Knight to transfer this off-season. Reserve guard Jalen Miller (Oral Roberts), forward Dean Reiber (Charlotte), Oskar Palmquist (Elon) and Paul Mulcahy is entering the transfer portal.

Spencer entered the transfer portal in mid-May, a week after the 60-day portal window closed.

Spencer averaged 13.2 points on 44 percent shooting, including 43 percent from down town and 89 percent from the free throw line.

Transferring is nothing new to Spencer, who started his college career at Loyola-Maryland, and played there for three years, before coming to Rutgers. While at RU he had the best shooting season of any Rutgers player from beyond the arch and at the charity stripe in the last decade.

Spencer's game-winning shot over No.1 Purdue and a go-ahead three-pointer on the road against Northwestern were his signature moments.
