The Somerset Patriots were enjoying a 5-0 lead in the middle innings, but watched as the Erie Seawolves stormed back, scoring seven runs in a two-inning period to stun the Yankees Double-A affiliate 7-6, Thursday night in Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Eric Wagaman was the star of the show for Somerset. He was 2-for-4 with three-RBI and a homer.

Caleb Durbin, who was recently called up from High-A Hudson Valley, was 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Clayton Beeter was solid, giving up only one hit over five innings of work. However, the Patriots bullpen just couldn’t shut the door as Indigo Diaz and Justin Wilson both struggled in relief.

The Patriots and Seawolves continue their series tonight from Erie, PA.
