A near brawl with Phillies All-Star Bryce Harper at the center of it, as well a number of ejections highlighted a wild day of baseball for the boys from Philly who lost 4-0 to the Colorado Rockies.
The fireworks started in the top of the seventh when the Phillies were unconvinced that Rockies second baseman Harold Castro stepped on the bag to complete a double-play, however Crew Chief Jeff Nelson ruled that the Phillies were too slow in requesting a replay challenge raising tensions even further.
Once the inning was complete Rockies reliever Jake Bird started yelling in the direction of the Phillies dugout, and well, it got interesting from there.
Harper, who was recently activated of the Injury List was ready to go to the masses for his teammates. Fortunately no punches were thrown.
