You wanted Aaron Rodgers on the Jets? Well get ready for some huge games this fall.

The New York Jets will make their return to Sunday Football for the first time in well over a decade when they host the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, according to the New York Post.

The last time the Jets played on Sunday night football, you would have to go back to Week 10 of the 2011 season when the Jets were clobbered 37-16 by the New England Patriots. Of course the last time the Jets played a regular season game on NBC it was the infamous and internationally known Buttfumble Game.

There is also strong speculation as of 1 p.m. ET that the Jets will head to Dallas to face the Cowboys in week 2.

So right now we can confirm the following for Gang Green:

Week 1 BUFFALO – MNF (ESPN)

Week 2 @ Dallas

Week 4 KANSAS CITY SNF (NBC)

Week 8 @ NY Giants

Week 12 MIAMI (Black Friday) Amazon

Week 16 WASHINGTON (Christmas Eve)

NFL Schedule Leaks: Giants Host Cowboys while Jets Host Bills in Week 1

The NFL schedule is starting to rapidly trickle out in the lead-up to the official announcement tonight at 8 p.m. Of course, we should have the entire schedules for the Jets and Giants firmly in hand well before then.

Already we are getting some fast tidbits. Scroll below to the latest rumors.

  • Giants Host Cowboys in Week 1

It seems to be a right of passage, as the New York Giants will open the regular season with their arch rivals the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 on Sunday Night Football. There was rampant speculation that it would be Giants vs. Jets, but no takers for that. This will be the eighth time since 2007 that the Giants and Cowboys open the season against one another.

  • Jets vs. Giants Will be Week 8

Giants and Jets fans get ready to descend upon MetLife Stadium on Halloween weekend. The two MetLife Stadium tenants will do battle in Week 8 on October 29 at 1 p.m. So Giants-Jets will not be a featured prime-time game after all.

  • Giants heading to Vegas Week 9?

There is rampant speculation that the G-men are heading to Las Vegas in Week 9 to take on the Raiders. Confirmation is still pending of course.

  • Jets Host Buffalo Week 1 on Monday Night Football

Score one for us at Fox Sports New Jersey, we predicted that the Jets would open the season on Monday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills, and it is official. The Aaron Rodgers era (for however long it lasts) begins at MetLife Stadium on the evening of September 11 against the defending AFC East Champs.

  • Full Packers Schedule leaked

The NFL is not gonna like this, but it does happen. The full Green Bay Packers schedule is out and they open the season against the Chicago Bears (as per usual) on Sunday, September 10 at 4:25. The Rodgers-less Packers visit the Lions on Thanksgiving Day at 12:30.

  • Christmas Slate complete

We knew that the Giants and Eagles would meet on Christmas late afternoon, now we know the rest of the Triple-Header slate. The Las Vegas Raiders visit the Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m.; the Giants visit the Eagles at 4:30, and the holiday closes out with the Ravens visiting the 49ers in primetime.

  • 49ers - Seahawks on Thanksgiving

Something about the 49ers and the holiday season. In addition to playing on Christmas, the 49ers are expected to face the Seattle Seahawks in primetime on Turkey Day.

  • Lions - Chiefs Opener

This was the most stunning leak. The NFL is entrusting the Detroit Lions to go into Kansas City to face the defending Super Bowl Champions as the featured Week 1 Thursday night kick-off special. The Lions were a nice story last season, but to throw them into this spot over Cincinnati, Philadelphia and Buffalo was a little surprising.

  • Giants vs. Rams in Week 17

Get ready to ring in the New Year with a battle between New York and L.A. from MetLife.

  • Cowboys vs. 49ers Week 5

For all those Cowboys and 49ers fans here in the Tri-State area, you’re welcome!
