Chris Pratt Shares Photo of Pinky Toe, Diagnosed With Toe Fungus
Chris Pratt attends the Marvel Studio's "Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3" New York Screening at iPic Theater on May 03, 2023 in New York City.
Chris Pratt showed off his nasty pinky toe — not that anyone asked for that. It was a joke on social media, but a famous foot surgeon said the actor actually has a toenail fungus. The Guardians of the Galaxy star posted a close-up photo of his pinky toe on social media. He called it his “Met Gala Look.” Folks were quick to point out its unsightly appearance. One person hilariously commented, “You need the guardians of Podiatry.” Another jokester replied to the photo, “There’s a fungus among us.” A third commented, “Spoiler alert – Starlord’s toenail dies in Vol 3.” One person asked, “Is this Groot?”

His Instagram post received over 400,000 likes. Dr. Brad Schaeffer, who starred in TLC’s My Feet Are Killing Me, told gossip website TMZ that the actor is dealing with a toenail fungus. Dr. Schaeffer noted that Pratt should get it checked out by a doctor or podiatrist. Schaeffer assured that the Super Mario Bros. Movie voice actor isn’t in any immediate danger as long as he treats it with a medical professional.
Behind The Scenes
Following his toenail post, Pratt shared some “incredible behind the scenes footage for the cinema buffs who are interested in how these movies are really made.” Using a Star-Lord action figure, Pratt, 43, held his character along a window ledge to create a scene that, fortunately, wasn’t in the movie.
He said in a voice resembling South Park‘s Eric Cartman, “Gamora, I don’t know where you are, but I’m going to jump off this building to find you!” Swapping in for the “stuntman,” who hilariously asks before he jumps, “Okay, wait… What am I supposed to do here?” Cueing in the music, Pratt’s stuntman nervously asks again, “Wait, I’m not entirely sure what I’m supposed to do here.” After falling in pain and having some pieces break off, the “real” Pratt continues the scene. “Oh no. Gamora!” Guardians of the Galaxy director/writer James Gunn played along with Pratt’s funny clip and commented, “I remember that day.”
Chris Pratt has two movies playing in theatres: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' Review: Their Wild, Final Farewell
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), still reeling from the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldaña). She was, of course, killed (for good) in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. But in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, an identical but different Gamora entered our timeline. Quill met her long enough for her to knee him in the junk, and then she took off for parts unknown. We saw that he was depressed over the situation in last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. But now, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
The film also sees the return of Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Nebul (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Kraglin (Sean Gunn), and Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) and Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper). Sylvester Stallone returns as Stakar Ogord and and Maria Bakalova returns to voice Cosmo the Spacedog and Elizabeth Debicki is back as Ayesha. New case members include Chukwudi Iwuji (High Evolutionary), Will Poulter (Adam Warlock), Nico Santos (Theel), Nathan Fillion (Master Karja) , Linda Cardinelli (Lylla the Otter) are also in the cast.
Director James Gunn tweeted a photo with the main cast and offered some words ahead of the world premiere last week. He wrote: “I’m nervous, of course, but mostly excited for all of us, the cast & crew & our friends & families, to sit together in a dark theater & experience the movie together. This is the sweetest part of filmmaking: one last look at our creation, one brief moment of being present to the long & winding journey it took us to get here, before turning it over to all of you, the world at large. Thank you to all of you who helped us to get here. You know who you are. My love for you runs deep. #GotGVol3 #WeAreGroot” Gunn has always said that he sees the franchise as a trilogy. And this is last Marvel project for the foreseeable future, as he is now heading rival DC Studios.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is in theaters now.
