Beeter Earns First Professional Win as Patriots Blank Ponies
PATRIOTS 6 – RUMBLE PONIES 0
In 54 games in his professional career in the minor league’s Clayton Beeter never won a game.
Never. We checked his Baseball Reference.
That all changed on Friday night as the right-hander, whom the New York Yankees acquired from the LA Dodgers last season, turned in a gem, blanking the New York Mets Double-A affiliate, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies over 6.2 innings of work, a career best in innings pitched in a game.

He gave up only three hits, walked two and struck out seven as the Patriots won going away 6-0.
All the runs for the Patriots came in the middle innings, as Jeisson Rosario hit a two-run bomb in the fifth inning that gave Somerset a 3-0 lead. He would add another RBI in the sixth on a sac fly.
Max Burt had another big night going 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored.
