A New Jersey skating rink that was temporarily closed has reopened after making renovations. The rink is now under new ownership and operating under a different name. United Skates of America unveiled the renovated United Skates Jackson on March 24, per NJ.com.

The skating rink was formerly named Jackson Skating Center and is located in the same spot at 2270 W. County Line Rd. on Route 526 in Jackson Township. The renovations for the new facility includes a café, prize shop and a remodel on the arcade. The café offers pizza, soda, nachos, and pretzels for purchase. The ambiance in the skating rink has also changed. There is now a new glow-in-the-dark wall murals, a light show, and a sound system.

The skating facility also has public skate sessions, events, lessons and parties for guests to book.

The rink opened in 1978 and operated under Rollermagic Roller Rinks’ management previously. It closed temporarily last October.

The owners also have skating rinks in Camden and Newark as well as other locations across the nation.

The skating rink is open Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays mostly with various blocks of time available to skate. They are also open the first Tuesday of each month. Take a look at the facility’s full schedule is available here.
