What happens when you coach only the second number 16 seed to win a NCAA Tournament game? Get a new job!

Less than 48 hours after he coached on the sidelines for Fairleigh Dickinson University in its 78-70 loss to Florida Atlantic in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Anderson accepted the vacant head coaching job at Iona.

The move was stunning considering Anderson was only into his first season at the helm of Knights after spending nearly a decade at St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Iona job of course became available once Rick Pitino took the St. John's job that was vacated by the fired Mike Anderson.

Anderson had coached FDU to one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history, becoming only the second 16 seed to upset a number 1 seed when it beat Purdue last Friday night.

FDU quickly replaced Anderson with Jack Castleberry, who served on Anderson's staff at FDU.
