Dougie Hamilton remains on fire for the New Jersey Devils.

Hamilton, who provided the game winner in the Devils 2-1 victory over Pittsburgh last week, delivered again. This time he nailed the game-tying, and the game-winning goals in New Jersey's thriller over the Las Vegas Golden Knights.

First with 1:10 to go in the game, Hamilton took a pass up against the glass near the top of the right circle and drilled his shot through everyone and past goalie Logan Thompson to tie the game and force overtime.

In OT, Jack Hughes got jammed up against the glass, but somehow, as he was falling to his knees, kicked the puck back out to a waiting Hamilton, who punched the shot past Thompson for the game winner. Hamilton now has 13 goals and 42 points on the season. He is well on his way to eclipsing his career best 18 goals from the 2018-19 season.

The victory moves the Devils (31-12-4) into a first place tie with the Carolina Hurricanes atop the Metropolitan Division.

The Devils hit the road for a two-game southwest road trip to Nashville and Dallas. The Devils face the Predators on Thursday night.
