KNICKS 108 - ROCKETS 88

The New York Knicks closed out the 2022 calendar year on the right foot, blowing past the Houston Rockets 108-88, ending a five game losing streak.

Julius Randle led the way for the Knickenbockers with 35-points on 9-of-20 shooting to go along with shooting a snappy 12-of-16 at the free throw line.

After trailing Houston 35-27 through the first quarter, the Knicks exploded on both ends of the floor, outscoring the Rockets 26-14 in the second quarter to take command of the contest. Randle's 24-foot three pointer with 1:18 to go in the first half put New York out in front 51-49. Mitchell Robinson followed with a tip-in to push the Knicks lead up to four points going into the half.

Houston was so cold offensively in the second quarter, they shot only 5-of-20 shots in the quarter.

Miles McBride, Immanuel Quickley and Randle all connected on huge three-point shots in the third quarter to augment New York's lead to 11-points.

By games end, New York connected on 15-of-51 shots from downtown, and shot 38 percent from the floor overall.

The victory places the Knicks a game over .500 (19-18) as the calendar flips to 2023.
