Devils Snap Skid, Beat Back Panthers
DEVILS 4 – PANTHERS 2
The New Jersey Devils got back on track of sorts with a come-form-behind 4-2 victory over the Florida Panthers down in Sunrise Florida, snapping a six-game losing streak.
The much needed victory comes before a back-to-back with the Boston Bruins that begins on Friday.
Jesper Bratt scored twice to tie the game, and Yegor Sharangovich had what would be the game winning goal in the third period when he connected on a slap shot from center ice.

“We needed a win,” New Jersey coach Lindy Ruff said. “We played several pretty good games inside of this and couldn’t find the back of the net. To come out, get a couple goals in the third … it was important.”
Bratt initially tied the game at the 7:01 mark of the first period; then tied the game again at two a little less than three minutes into the third period. Bratt’s second goal was the beginning of a three-goal period for New Jersey. Tomas Tatar had the empty netter in the final minute to ice it.
