Popular New Jersey Winter Village Returns For 2022
The Newark Winter Village at Mulberry Commons Park, located just outside the Prudential Center, opened last Friday (Nov. 25) and will run Wednesdays-Sundays through Jan. 31.
“I’m excited that Newark Winter Village will return to our vibrant downtown area, where families and visitors can come together during the holiday season,” Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said per ROI-NJ. “We are happy to be able to offer festive activities in the heart of our city and support our local businesses through the holiday marketplace.”
The winter village will have ice skating, go-karts, and private igloos. You can enjoy all of those activities while you sip on some hot chocolate. In addition to the various games and activities, visitors are encouraged to shop locally in the open-air holiday marketplace.
Admission is free for the Village but reservations and tickets are required for ice skating and private igloos. You can register online here and check out the ice skating and igloo prices below:
– Ice Skating: $15 per adult (age 17 and up), $10 per child (under age 17);
– Igloo Rentals: $40: 60-minute reservation.
The festive event began in 2020 and is presented by the Greater Newark Convention and Visitors Bureau in partnership with the city and other sponsors.
