Michigan State will makes its first appearance in the Big Ten Super Saturday game, but it's very familiar with the Garden having made numerous appearances in NCAA Tournament, Conference tournaments,  and other special tournaments through the years.  Michigan State has made two appearances in Manhattan since the 2018 conference tournament, facing No. 3 Kansas last season and No. 2 Kentucky in 2019, both in the State Farm Champions Classic.
