The announcement was made by the theme park ride manufacturer Premier Rides at this week's International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions annual expo. The expo was held from Nov. 15 to Nov. 18 in Orlando, Florida.
The New Jersey region of American Coaster Enthusiasts posted to their Facebook page on Friday (Nov. 18) about the new additions coming to Steel Pier. "A new Crazy Mouse will replace the original Reverchon model, which first opened in 1997 as North America’s first spinning coaster in modern times; and the latest installation of Premier’s popular Sky Rocket II will also appear on the pier. The rides will debut in 2024 and 2025, respectively," the post read.
Names and exact opening dates for the two new rides at Steel Pier have not yet been announced.
