Denise Richards Addresses Getting Shot At During Road Rage Incident
Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers were involved in a road rage incident where a driver shot at the couple while they were headed to a film studio in Los Angeles. Per Deadline, as the couple slowed down to look for parking and let the driver pass, they were still enraged enough to scream and open fire in their direction. Surprisingly, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum “powered through the emotions of it all and worked for 12 hours.” Her husband, whom she recently celebrated four years of marriage with, remained with her on set. At the end of her work day, an off-duty police officer escorted the couple out as they set out to drive home.
Following the incident, a Twitter user wished harm on Richards, 51, writing, “Don’t care kinda hope she would have taken a grazing shot to the neck honestly.” (The Tweet violated the Twitter Rules and has subsequently been taken down) The Wild Things actress snapped back, writing in response, “Thank you. I would never wish any harm on anyone. What I experienced yesterday with my husband, not that you care. Was the most terrifying situation I have ever been in. “Happy Anniversary my love 4 yrs and many many many more to come,” Richards wrote on Instagram in September in celebration of her wedding anniversary to Phypers, 50. “I can’t imagine going through this journey without you by my side. I love you so much. And best husband ever to support & love that I’m away on a mommy daughters trip on our anniversary. We will make up for it! I love you babes.”
Richards was previously married to Charlie Sheen. She filed for divorce from the Two and a Half Men star, 57, in 2006 after four years of marriage while pregnant with their second daughter, Lola, now 17. They also share daughter Sami, 18.
