Rutgers captured an automatic bid to the tournament thanks to its dominating 3-1 win over Indiana in the Big Ten Championship game on Sunday afternoon in front of a jam-packed crowd at Yurcak Field in Piscataway.
The victory was Rutgers’ first-ever Men’s Soccer Big Ten title, and the first overall conference title for men’s soccer since 1997.
