The Baba Yaga is back as we received the trailer for the upcoming John Wick Chapter 4 and it looks just as amazing as all the rest with actor Keanu Reeves kicking a** and taking names we might also learn more about the Wick family based on what we see from the trailer. Spoiler warning.
The fourth installment seems to follow closely after the events of the third film where John narrowly escaped death after being “betrayed” by Winston. Now he and the Bowery King who also survived will be joining forces to go against the powerful high table. We’ll see a familiar cast of characters including The Adjudicator who was one of the main antagonists of the third film. But we also will see a new blind assassin that like everyone else in the universe is a friend of John Wick, but business is business so the two will be at odds.
Another key plot point is John’s attempt to go after a high table member in chase of his freedom from the 14-million-dollar bounty that’s on his head and a chance to possibly walk away from life once again. Like its predecessor, John Wick Chapter 4 will feature scenes all over the world from New York to Paris. It also seems as if we will learn about John Wick’s family as it’s revealed in the trailer that John’s family sits at the High Table. So overall I am super pumped and counting down the days till the release of more trailers and the official release date of March 24th, 2023!
Star Keanu Reeves has stated before that he loves the role and will make as many movies for the series as long as the public demands it. The series as a whole has brought in 584 million worldwide with the third film bringing a major of the amount. So, with the fourth film and a spinoff releasing around the same time you know it’s going to be a hit.
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever:’ The Hottest Looks From The Premiere
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had its world premiere last night (October 26) at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and the only thing hotter than the reviews beginning to pour in is the purple carpet looks. New parents Rihanna and A$AP Rocky looked stunning in coordinated outfits, while cast members Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett and Lupita Nyong’o rocked jewel tones for the Wakandan royalty event.
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.
The long-awaited follow-up to Black Panther has been delayed by the pandemic and the tragic death of Chadwick Boseman (who played T’Challa/Black Panther) from colon cancer in 2020 after a private battle with the disease for over four years. Director Ryan Coogler spoke to Deadline about Boseman and said, “He was a giant of a man, the screen couldn’t contain him. To watch his movies is only to know a piece of him. We felt so fortunate to know the whole guy and we try and honor him on this one.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases in theaters on November 11 with a runtime of 2 hours and 41 minutes, the sequel will be the second-longest title in the MCU behind Avengers: Endgame. See the hottest looks of the world premiere ranked below:
