Rutgers women’s soccer will face Northwestern on October 30 in the Big Ten Tournament.

Rutgers Women's Soccer will look to capture the program's first ever Big Ten Tournament Championship as the seventh seed when the tournament commences on October 30.

Rutgers wrapped up the regular season on Sunday with a 1-0 loss to Michigan State. The loss dropped RU to 13-3-2 on the regular season, and 5-3-2 in the Big Ten.

As a result, the Scarlet Knights finish in a four-way tie for fourth place in the Big Ten with 17 points along with Ohio State, Nebraska, and Penn State, but finished at the bottom of that tiebreaker due to common opponent points in conference play (against Michigan and Indiana).

Rutgers will open the Big Ten Tournament with a visit to number 2 seeded Northwestern. Last season Rutgers won the Big Ten regular season title and had home field.

A win agianst Northwestern, and Rutgers will face the winner of Wisconsin-Penn State.
