YANKEES 8 - ORIOLES 0

Aaron Judge will get one last chance to try to hit a record setting home run in front of the Yankee faithful when the Bombers face the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday afternoon. That is because on Saturday the slugger went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored in the Yankees 8-0 win over Baltimore.

While Judge's personal home run chase has been a story, the real story on Saturday afternoon was Nestor Cortes.

Cortes totally dominated the Orioles, recording 12 strikeouts and allowing only a single with two strikeouts. Cortes improved to 12-4 on the season with a sparkling 2.44 ERA. The outing marked the sixth shutout by Cortes this season, who continues to prove that he is the Yankees number two man in the rotation when the division series starts in about a week and a half.

Meanwhile, six Yankees had multi-hit games, including Kyle Higashioka who had three hits and a solo home run in the win.

Giancarlo Stanton had a solo home run in the bottom of the fist inning that helped the Yankees build a 3-0 lead.

Gleyber Torres and Josh Donaldson also had a pair of hits and two RBI a piece on Saturday. Harrison Bader went 2-for-4 with a RBI.

The victory moves the Yankees to 97-60. With five games left, New York has a good shot at finishing the season with 100 victories.
