Greg Schiano & Ryan Day Get Into Heated Exchange During Game
In the fourth quarter of Ohio State’s 49-10 win over Rutgers on Saturday, the Buckeyes converted on an apparent fake punt when punter Jesse Mirco converted on a fourth-and-two by dashing down the sidelines for 20-yards, before getting leveled out of bounds by Rutgers wide receiver Aron Cruickshank.
The play drew a number of flags for the late hit on Mirco, and Ohio State and Rutgers players soon converged near the Ohio State sideline with plenty of pushing and shoving.
Rutgers Head Coach Greg Schiano raced across the field to help break it up but wound up exchanging heated words with Ohio State Head Coach Ryan Day.

In his post-game press conference, Schiano said that the two of them are “both very competitive guys. I have the utmost respect for him. We’re good friends.”
