COWBOYS 23 - GIANTS 16

In a back and forth affair that opened up as a field goal fest for two-and-a half quarters, the Giants found themselves with a 13-6 lead after Saquon Barkley scampered to a 36-yard touchdown with 5:31 to go in the third quarter.

Little did anyone know that would be the lone highlight for the Giants as the Dallas Cowboys rolled up 17-unanswered points to shock Big Blue 23-16 on Monday Night Football.

Cowboys back-up quarterback Cooper Rush was a perfect five-for-five on Dallas' ensuing drive, including hitting Peyton Hendershot for a 29-yard gain to the Giants' 18-yard line.

A few plays later Ezekiel Elliot plowed in from one-yard out to tie the game at 13.

After a Giants three-and-out, Rush again had the Cowboys moving on an 11-play, 89-yard scoring drive that ate up 6:12 off the clock. A 27-yard completion from Rush to wide reciever CeeDee Lamb set up Dallas nicely with a first and goal at the one. On the next play Rush found Lamb in the end zone for the score to put Dallas up 20-13.

Dallas would tack on a field goal midway through the fourth to extend its lead to 10-points.

On the flip side, Big Blue couldn't get in the end zone again. They had one drive stall at the Dallas' 22-yard line thanks to a trio of Daniel Jones incompletion, forcing a field goal attempt. Later, Jones was picked off by Trevon Diggs on a ball that appeared to be trapped by Digss on the way to the ground.

The Giants (2-1) will have a short week to reload when the Chicago Bears roll into town on Sunday.
