Where will the New Jersey Jackals play in 2023 and beyond?

We should have an answer as to where the long time independent baseball franchise will call its new home on Wednesday, September 14.

The Jackals posted to social media that an announcement would come at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Since the franchise announced it was leaving the friendly confines of Yogi Berra Stadium on the campus of Montclair State University, there has been rampant speculation as to where the Jackals would go.

Many believe the Jackals are heading five miles east of the Yog to Paterson and Hinchliffe Stadium. That stadium is currently being refurbished after years and decades of neglect. They could also be on the move to Sussex and Skylands Stadium. The Jackals are owned by Al Dorso, who also owns the Sussex County Miners who have called Skylands home since 2015.

Or the Jackals could surprise people and leave the state of New Jersey entirely.
