The Jazz got a huge return in Colin Sexton as he agreed to a four-year, $72 million sign-and-trade deal to stay with the Jazz through the 2026-27 season according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
After this offseason, the Jazz has a lot of draft assets by trading their All-Star players Rudy Gobert and Mitchell. Both deals got Utah seven first-round picks, three pick swaps, and two players selected in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft.
With the addition of Mitchell, the Cavs are looking to contend for a championship now. An elite guard like Mitchell who can score at will can help this Cavs team make more noise and become legit threats in the east.
Mitchell averaged 25.9 points per game last season and will pair up with All-Star guard Darius Garland. Both of them seem excited to play with each other.

Since Mitchell was put in trade rumors the frontrunner to get him was the New York Knicks. It made the most sense because he is from New York.
The Knicks and the Jazz have discussed a trade around Mitchell numerous times since the Jazz traded away Gobert. Before the Knicks signed Mitchell Robinson they pitched a trade that would give the Jazz Robinson, Obi Toppin, RJ Barrett, and three unprotected first-round picks. The Jazz declined and the Knicks signed Robinson to an extension.
When the Jazz and Knicks were in talks for another try at the trade New York president was negotiating a deal with RJ Barrett as well and set Monday night as the deadline. That was to either get a deal done or sign Barrett. New York planned to continue talks but the Jazz turned to the Cavs after seeing Barrett and New York were finalizing their deal. The Knicks took a risk trying to get Mitchell and at the end of the day didn’t capitalize on it. To sum up how Knicks fans feel:
