The Yankees are off to a hot start out West after a thunderous 13-4 victory over the hapless Oakland A’s on Thursday night.
Josh Donaldson had a huge night with three hits, two doubles, four runs scored and three RBI. Even rookie Oswaldo Cabrera, who has wowed Yankees fans with his defense thus far, was top notch with the bat on Thursday.

The Yankees also marked the the return of Giancarlo Stanton, who was activated off the Injury List, and the slugger came back with a vengeance, driving in a pair on a RBI single in the second inning and walking in a run in the fourth.
The Yankees were so on-point Thursday that they jumped out to a 10-0 lead before the fourth inning was over.
All those runs went to the good of starter Jameson Tallion, who gave up a run over six innings of work to improve to 12-4.
The Yankees and A’s continue their four game series on Friday night out in Oakland.
