Rutgers is 11 days away from opening the season at Boston College on September 3. Head Coach Greg Schiano spoke with the media on Tuesday stressing that his team still has a lot of work to do for the opener.
"We have two game weeks til the opener, and we will need every minute of it," Schiano said.
Schiano remains mum on whom will be his starting quarterback on September 3. According to NJ.com, the battle is between Senior Noah Vedral, sophomore Evan Simon, and redshire freshman Gavin Wimsatt.
Rutgers last played Boston College in 2019, a 30-16 win for the Eagles. The two schools used to see one another annually when they were members of the Big East from 1981 to 2004.
