Portland, Maine – Five home runs led the Somerset Patriots (8-7, 52-32) to an 8-2 win over the Portland Sea Dogs (11-4, 41-43) on Thursday afternoon at Hadlock Field.
Somerset jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second on a Blake Perkins RBI double, a Michael Beltre RBI single and a two-run blast by Max Burt (6).

Beltre (7) struck again in the fourth with a solo home run. Three batters later, Anthony Volpe (12) went deep to extend the lead to 6-0.

Portland got on the board in the fifth on RBI singles by Alex Binelas and Christian Koss to make it a 6-2 ballgame.
Perkins (7,8) blasted a solo home run in the seventh and another in the ninth to finish the game 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. It was his second multi-homer game of the season.
Luis Medina (3-3) picked up the win after he allowed two earned runs on seven hits and three strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched. Dylan Spacke (1-4) suffered the loss with four earned runs on six hits in three innings.
