Official Somerset Patriots Press Release: 

Bridgewater, NJ – The Hartford Yard Goats (41-23) defeated the Somerset Patriots (41-23) by a final score of 3–2 at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday night. 

Elijah Dunham (8) got the scoring started with a deep shot to right center field for a solo home run that put the Patriots up 1-0 in the bottom of the first. 

Michael Toglia (12) later put the Yard Goats in front in the top of the sixth with a two-run homer.

Anthony Volpe (8) answered immediately in the bottom of the inning with a line drive home run over the left field wall to make it 2-2.  

Hartford then took a 3-2 lead the seventh on an Ezequiel Tovar RBI single that scored Tyler Hill from second.  

Noah Davis (1-1) picked up the win after he allowed two earned runs across 6.2 innings and struck out five. Josh Maciejewski (4-1) gave up the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to suffer the loss.   Gavin Hollowell (10) recorded the save with a scoreless bottom of the ninth.  

Luis Medina allowed two earned runs in 5.1 innings and struck out five batters in a no decision. 

The Patriots and Yard Goats are now tied for first place with five games left to go in the first half of the season.  

The 2022 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue at home on Wednesday, June 22 with a 7:05 pm game against the Yard Goats at TD Bank Ballpark.
