Manchester, New Hampshire – The Somerset Patriots (41-21) defeated the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (27-35) by the score of 4-3 on Saturday night.

Anthony Volpe got the scoring started for Somerset in the first inning. The Yankees No. 1 prospect led off with a single, stole second and third base, and then scored on a wild pitch.

Luis De Los Santos tripled home Will Robertson in the second to tie up the game in the second.

In the top of the fourth, Jeisson Rosario’s sacrifice fly plated Josh Breaux to regain the lead for Somerset.

Sebastian Espino (8) then evened up the game again with a solo blast in the fifth.

Brandon Lockridge, who went 3-for-5 in the game, broke the tie with a two-run double in the seventh inning.

Spencer Horwitz’s sacrifice fly in the eighth plated Rafael Lantigua for the 4-3 final.

Carlos Espinal (2-0) picked up the win with two scoreless innings pitched. Braden Scott (1-2) suffered the loss after he allowed two runs on four hits in two innings of work.  Emmanuel Ramirez (1) earned the save with a scoreless ninth inning.

Randy Vasquez struck out five and allowed two runs in five innings in a no decision.
