Miggy Makes MLB History Officially Joining 3000 Hits Club.
Miguel Cabrera, has officially made MLB history by becoming one of the very few players in Major League Baseball to reach over 3000 hits. It was in the bottom of the first against the Rockies, a celebratory moment for the Tigers as well as Cabrera, as the team dominated that game with a final score of 13-0.

Some MLB fans were upset as Cabrera could have made history sooner when the Tigers beat the Yankees last Thursday the 21st. However, Cabrera was walked intentionally at the request of the Yankees Manager Aaron Boone in an attempt to win the game.
Now Cabrera has officially made MLB history, and he is on the cusp of doing it again is just one Double away from reaching 600, which would put him on a much smaller milestone list as only about twenty or so players have reached the mark.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that Miggy is done, as he looks forward to furthering his career by chasing after 1000 career home runs. Something that has yet to be done in professional baseball. The current home run leader is retired player Barry Bonds, at 762 career home runs.
Cabrera currently sits at 502, just half away from that overall goal, however, he is currently in second place for career home runs among active players just 179 home runs behind the current leader Cardinal’s player Albert Pujols.
