After suffering a tough loss to the Carolina Hurricanes the night before, the Rangers responded with a resounding 4-0 win over the lowly Philadelphia Flyers.

Kappo Kakko scored a pair of goals to jumpstart the Blue Shirts to an early 2-0 lead, while goalie Alexander Georgiev recorded 28 saves in net for the shutout.

Artemi Panarin netted his 22nd goal of the season midway through the third period to make it a 3-0 contest. Andrew Copp’s shorthanded goal, (18th goal of the year) proved to be the final dagger in the third period.

The Rangers, who lost 4-2 on Tuesday night to Carolina, are two points back of the Hurricanes for first in the Metropolitan division. New York has seven games left in the season, including one with Carolina on April 26.
