The Somerset Patriots, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees kick off their home schedule this evening at TD Bank Ballpark against the Erie Seawolves. Somerset began the season over in Reading, Pennsylvania over the weekend, taking two of three from the Fightin' Phils.

Tonight's game will mark the TD Bank Ballpark debut of new manager Dan Fiorito, who has managed in the New York Yankees farm system two of the past three seasons, including a stop at Hudson Valley in 2021. Fiorito is the fourth full-time manager in Patriots history, taking over for Julio Mosquera, who moved on to become a catching coordinator for the Chicago White Sox.

It is also the home debut of a familiar face to New Jersey sports fans, as Anthony Volpe -- the Yankees top-rated prospect -- makes his TD Bank Ballpark debut. Volpe, a Morristown native who attended Delbarton, High School spoke highly last week during Media Day about playing in front of many friends and family for the first time in two years since the COVID pandemic.

After the game, there will be a postgame fireworks show presented by Somerset Health Care Foundation. All fans in attendance will also receive a 2022 magnetic schedule. It will also be a Topps Tuesday, where the first 1,000 fans to enter the ballpark will receive a 2020 Bowman baseball card promo pack.

Remember if you can't make it to the ballpark, or you'd like to listen in any way if are there, we got the game right here on Fox Sports New Jersey, 93.5 FM, and 1450 AM.
