Women’s Lacrosse’s Meghan Ball Named Defensive Player of the Week
Rutgers Women’s Lacrosse Junior Meghan Ball was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
She shares the award with Maryland’s Abby Bosco, Ball combined for 11 draw controls, seven ground balls and five caused turnovers in wins over Monmouth and Villanova.

According to Rutgers Athletics, “Ball leads the Big Ten with 17 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers and is third with 35 draw controls. Ball has helped the Scarlet Knights to a No. 13 ranking in the Inside Lacrosse/IWLCA Coaches Poll, the team’s highest ranking in the poll in program history.”
Lacrosse visits Temple this evening at 6 p.m.
