Celtics Blow out Nets
The first game back from all-star break did not go the way the Nets wanted it to go. The Celtics came to Brooklyn and gave the Nets the business. Blowing them out 129-106.
Celtics forward Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 30 points and he had some help with him. Marcus Smart had 15 points and Jaylen Brown had 18. The Celtics picked up right where they left off with their ninth win in the last 10 games. The Celtics had seven players in double figures and shot 54% from the field. The run the Celtics is on has led them to the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference.
Seth Curry led the Nets in scoring with 22, Bruce Brown had 15 and Patty Mills had an off night going 0-9 from the field. The Nets have now lost their last 13 out of 15.

The Nets are now 31-29 and still hanging on to that eighth spot. They would have to go on a little run in order to get themselves out of the play-in tournament.
The Nets stars are still out, Kevin Durant is still nursing a knee injury. Still no timetable on when Ben Simmons will be back on the floor. Kyrie Irving can’t play homes games still because of the vaccine mandate in New York City. Their new addition to the team Goran Dragic just signed to the team. Good news is that Durant and Dragic are expected to be back in the next three games.
Nets guard Bruce Brown downplayed where the Nets are in the standings,
“Because our guys are going to come back and we’re going to take care of business,” he said.
The Nets will look to bounce back against the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday night at 8:30 p.m.
